Right in Nigeria, some members of Ekiti State House of Assembly belonging to APC have impeached the Speaker, Kola Oluwawole who is a member of the People Democratic Party.
They also sacked the Deputy Speaker, also a PDP member, Sina Animasaun.
Both Oluwawole and Animasaun mounted the Honourable seats under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Oluwawole, a staunch loyalist of Governor Ayo Fayose, was removed at about 11.00 am behind closed doors, following the fact that Governor Ayo Fayose will no longer be in power.
The lawmakers who are members of the All Progressive Congress elected the former Deputy Leader, Adeniran Alagbada while the Minority Leader, Gboyega Aribisogan, was elected as new House Leader of Business.
Alagbada defected from PDP to APC in June alongside his political mentor, Prince Dayo Adeyeye.
The change in leadership was believed to have been effected obviously in anticipation of the change of government in the state.
