One month on from signing for Arsenal, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has spoken out about his playing relationship with new team-mate Mesut Ozil.
The 29-year-old has played four times for his new side and put in a particularly devastating display against Everton, linking up once again with former Borussia Dortmund pal Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Armenian moved to the Emirates in January in a transfer that saw Alexis Sanchez head in the opposite direction, to Manchester United.
Some questioned whether Mkhitaryan, a playmaker himself, would be able to play alongside Ozil who already assumed that position.
However, Mkhitaryan has now moved to quash those rumours in an interview with ESPN.
“Some people are saying that we cannot play together but I cannot understand people who say that,” said the Armenian.
“I’m just enjoying playing with Mesut, he’s an amazing footballer, I’m getting pleasure playing with him.
“Everyone knows his skills, his ability. Why not? Everything is possible – why not have two No 10s on the pitch?”
