The Emirates FA cup holders, Arsenal, have reportedly named their price for star forward, Alexis Sanchez, who has a year left on his contract at the Emirates.
The Chilean has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Premier League rivals, Manchester City, as a possible destination.
Pep Guardiola and City are said to be readying an initial offer in the region of £50m for the talented forward.
However, prising the South American from the Gunners would cost City more than that, as the North Londoners have slapped an £80m price tag on their most prized asset.
Sanchez inspired his country Chile to the final of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup final, where they lost to eventually champions, Germany.
He had said, before the final against Germany, his stay at the Emirates would be decided after the tournament in Russia, but that his future’s “clear.”
But despite City’s interest, Arsene Wenger remains confident of keeping his star forward, who scored 24 times in the league last season, and assisted ten more.
“This summer, first of all, they will stay at the club and hopefully we can extend their contract,” Wenger said early last month, when asked about the futures of Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
