Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru left out of Super Eagles team to face South Africa


The name of new Super Eagles sensation, Henry Onyekuru, was conspicuously missing when the team news was released moments ago ahead of the crucial AFCON qualifier against South Africa later today.

Onyekuru, who made his senior team debut against the Hawks of Togo, after he was handed a late call up, during the camping in France, has been one of the best performers in training, according to various reports, fueling suggestions he would be in line to make his competitive debut against Bafana Bafana for Nigeria.

The absence of his name from the list will certainly raise some dust, as many supporters of the team would be left disappointed that they would have to wait a while longer to finally watching the forward for the first time.

The KSA Eupen of Belgium forward, who was in superb form for his club, scoring over 20 goals last season, fueling intense speculations about his future, with reports by Sky sports saying that Arsenal had agreed a fee for the striker to the tune of £6.8m with his club side, Eupen.
