Report has revealed that the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode was going to face interrogations from the Department of State Service (DSS) over what he allegedly said to President Muhammadu Buhari concerning the activities of Fulani Herdsmen across Nigeria.
Before now, the issue of attacks on communities by Fulani Herdsmen had cost many lives and properties in Nigeria. This is one of the menaces the Government has not been able to halt.
In reaction to this threat, Fani-Kayode allegedly took to his twitter handle to say that President Buhari is ‘openly protecting and encouraging’ Fulani Herdsmen killing Nigerians. He had also said Buhari’s cow is more important than lives of Nigerians.
To this effect, the DSS reportedly ordered the arrest of the former Minister. The report was disclosed on twitter by the Media Director of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deji Adeyanju.
According to Adeyanju; “So the DG of DSS asked his men to arrest @realFFK this morning over herdsmen comment. Why are these guys so unbelievable? The madness of 2019 has really started.” He wrote on his handle @adeyanjudeji.
Also, report stated that Fani-Kayode after blasting the Nigerian President for not attending the funeral of the victims of Fulani Herdsmen attack last week; He further warned that ‘rampaging Fulani herdsmen’ will be killing more women and children if Buhari is allowed to rule for a second term.
A source disclosed that on a different ground, the former minister had earlier described President Buhari’s administration as ‘Archon’
We gathered that at the time of reporting this news, order for the arrest of the Former Minister and writer has not been publicly announced by the DSS.
