Bayelsa state Governor Seriake Dickson had promised that the state Government would collaborate with the Police and other Security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Following the death of a rich Cattle dealer, Jibril Abdulkarim, who was shot dead with three of his aides, at his abattoir in Yenagoa, the State Government, had called on security agencies in the state to prosecute those behind the wicked act.
The Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson condemned the killings as he visited the deceased families.
Governor Seriake promised that the state Government would collaborate with the Police and other Security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
According to the Governor; “As a government, we condemn it and we shall work closely with the security agencies to apprehend the criminals who committed these unacceptable acts in order to bring them to book.”
Speaking further, the Governor said; “Alhaji Jibril was a good man; he was very easy going. He worked closely with our government to promote peace and unity among all in the state.
He was never caught violating any law and we are indeed shocked to hear of his gruesome murder alongside some of his boys,” He commended the deceased.
It was also gathered that Mr. Abdulkarim was a member of the Bayelsa Committee for the Management and Control of Ranches, and Chairman Cattle Breeders Association (CBA), Bayelsa state chapter.
Recall that Governor Seriake had called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to focus on how to take over power from the All Progressives Congress (APC), come 2019.
Seriake made the statement with respect to the upcoming PDP national convention, slated to hold on December 9, 2019.
