Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has told the All Progressives Congress party members in a statement that he will soon bring all speculations to an end by naming a Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) to lead them to victory in the February 2019 general elections.

Despite the agitation by many Nigerians that the current administration has failed the people, Buhari still describes his party; the All Progressives Congress, APC as the only party that will free Nigeria from corruption and poor governance.

President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement that was issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Malam Garba Shehu last night at the federal capital territory, said he was aware of the yearning by Nigerians for the formation of a full Presidential Campaign Council towards the APC’s victory in the presidential elections.

He went ahead to say that he appreciated the growing interest by Nigerians both home and abroad in this issue. He said he is fully aware that Nigerians want president Buhari to continue his good work in the next regime.

He, therefore, plead with the members of the All Progressives Congress party and the public in general to exercise some more patience regarding the constitution of the Presidential Campaign Council.

President Buhari said presently the party executives were focused on the APC convention scheduled for Saturday, October 6 2018.

He also revealed that the Presidential Campaign Council will be put in place after the convention. He said, “We are the party that will free Nigeria from corruption and poor governance. We are the party of change. We will not let the country down.”

President Buhari’s confidence on Nigerians wanting him to return to office will be properly tried in the next election. For now, the president believes that his administration has reduced corruption and hardship tremendously.
