Premier League champions, Chelsea, are set to continue their spending spree this summer with calls by manager, Antonio Conte for more signings, according to reports.
Chelsea have already splashed over £100million of bringing in Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, and striker, Alvaro Morata, but are ready to splash even more cash, which could take their total spend over the £200milliona barrier.
Conte is believed to be looking at bringing in another defender, a forward and a winger, with Alex Sandro, Antonio Candreva and Virgil van Dijk all linked as possible targets.
Conte had been left frustrated with the club’s pace in the market, after he saw a deal for striker, Romelu Lukaku, hijacked by rivals, Man United.
Since reports broke of Conte’s Frustration, the Blues have seen Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata complete their transfer to the London side.
However, it seems Chelsea are ready to back their manager even more, as they hope to arm him with all the necessary tools needed to successfully defend the PL title he won last season, in his debut season in England.
While signing another defender has been mentioned, a central defender isn’t top priority for the Italian, following Rudiger’s arrival at the club.
Chesea are said to be actively in the market for a forward, and winger, with Conte’s former players, Fernando Llorente and Candreva linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
“We are 16 players without the goalkeepers, and in four competitions,” Conte said ahead of their friendly match against German champions, Bayern Munich.
“We need more players,” the Italian added.
