Why decoration and beautification are important during Christmas

Christmas tree reminds Christians of the tree of life in the Garden of Eden, it can be so beautiful after decorating it with lights and other accessories that goes with it. It is usually green in colour. The reason is that, green is life, therefore it exalts the value of life.

Christmas is here again with much love in the air, expecting the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is a season where lots of activities are going on, coupled with decorations in our various homes, offices, eateries, and so on. The aura of Christmas cannot be hidden because; whenever the season is approaching it always shows.

It is a season of joy, love and merriment and nobody should be left out to participate in the decorations and shopping associated with it. Christmas jingles on the radio and television reminds people of the season. Some are not involved in all these, instead they decide to go on prayers in waiting for the arrival of Christ Jesus. Everybody is in a happy mood with many homes and offices having Christmas trees, while others choose flowers for beautification and decoration.

The tree has gold balls and boxes- gold signifies royalty which is one of the gifts given to our Lord Jesus Christ when he was born. We still have red, white purple etc. as Christmas colours.

Christmas colours are usually red and white which was originated by ‘’Santa Claus’’ [Father Christmas] Though Santa Claus’s was checked out in green but red and white colour have come to define him. Red signifies the blood of Jesus Christ, while white signifies purity.

Children and adults dress code this season is dominated with red and white, to any occasion or party. For those wedding, the hall interior and seats are decorated with white, red and gold.
