The Ethiopian Lawmakers have called on the citizens to desist from selling their children to celebrities and have advised that orphans and other helpless children in the country should be cared for.

The Ethiopian Parliament approved the banning of foreigners from adopting children from the country on Tuesday January 9, 2018 to end the issue of child abuse in the country.

Report revealed that some celebrities have been adopting Children from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and that before now, the event had allegedly led to the death of a 13-year-old girl in the United States, which consequentially led to the conviction of the victim’s parents in 2013.
