Greg Gianforte Wins the Montana’s seat in the U.S. House of Representatives

About 24 hours after been charged with alleged assault on a Guardian reporter, Ben Jacob, who asked him about the Republican healthcare bill, Greg Gianforte defeated his political opponent, Democrat Rob Quist to win Montana’s seat in the U.S. House of Representatives On Thursday, May 25.

The Republican rendered an apology word during his speech, to Ben Jacob who said the Greg ‘body-slammed’ him during a campaign event in Bozeman.

“I should not have responded the way I did, for that I’m sorry. I should not have treated that reporter that way, and for that I’m sorry, Mr. Ben Jacobs.” Greg Gianforte said

According to Edison’S Research, Gianforte had 50.3% of votes compared to Quist who had 43.9% and Mark Wicks who also had 5.7% of the total votes.

From the figure,  Gianforte was considered the favorite heading in the election to fill the seat, once held by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.

It was also observed that after Greg’s apology, members of the supportive crowd shouted, “You’re forgiven.”
