Ebonyi state Governor and Chairman of South East Governors Forum, Dave Umahi has disclosed the outcome of the meeting between the Eastern Governors and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Enugu on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
According to Umahi; “The South-East governors today met with the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, together with Professor Ben Nwabueze and Evangelist Elliot Uko.
The meeting deliberated on the demands of IPOB and noted their concerns accordingly.
However, the meeting agreed that these demands by IPOB should not be absolute, rather the South East governors shall immediately engage the leader and the entire leadership of IPOB in further meetings and dialogue, with a view to quickening the resolutions of all issues amicably. “
