The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari sets to leave Nigeria for London to begin his annual vacation. The journey is stipulated to kick off on Monday, April 9, 2018.
According to a source within the presidency as confirmed to the independent, the stipulated kick off date is to enable the president arrive London early enough and have sufficient rest before taking part in the 25th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), 2018.
It is scheduled for April 16th-20th, 2018, at the Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace, and Windsor Castle respectively.
As one of the countries enlisted amongst the 53 Commonwealth countries whose goal is geared towards facilitating democracy, prosperity and peace, Nigeria is expected to be present.
