NDLEA: 10 Hectares Of Indian Hemp Farm Destroyed, 19.3kg Seized

A 10-hectare Indian hemp farm at Area 5, Ife-South Local Government Area of Osun has been reportedly destroyed on Monday 10th June, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Mr. Egbeola Samuel, the state commander of the Agency also disclosed to newsmen that 19.3kg of already harvested Indian hemp was also seized at the farm and one suspect was arrested.

Mr. Samuel evinced gratitude to the State government for the support it gave to the agency in carrying out its latest seizures.

He however, solicited for more support from the state government saying that the command is set and determined to destroy more Indian hemp farms adding that the command is not relenting in its endeavour to rid Osun state of all kind of hard and illicit drugs.

He also commended Mr. Remi Kolajo, the Chairman of the Task Force on Eradication of Planting, Distribution and Usage of Cannabis Sativa and Psychotropic Substances, for his support.
