INEC: New Resident Electoral Commissioners Inaugurated

14 Resident Electoral Commissioners Inaugurated

The 14 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari have been inaugurated today, Friday, July 7 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The exercise was done by the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, after been approved by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday, June 29.

The new INEC Commissioners are as follows:

  1. Emeka Joseph (Imo)
  2. Obo Effanga (Cross River)
  3. Francis Ezeounu (Anambra)
  4. Briyai Frankland (Bayelsa)
  5. Ibrahim Abdullahi (Adamawa)
  6. Agboke Olaleke (Ogun)
  7. Ahmad Makama (Bauchi)
  8. Hussaini Pai (Abuja)
  9. Godwill Obioma (Abia)
  10. James Apam (Benue)
  11. Nwachukwu Orji (Ebonyi)
  12. Iloh Chuks (Enugu)
  13. Nentawe Yilwatda (Plateau)
  14. Umar Ibrahim (Taraba)
