Okoi Obono-Obla says; 20 percent of the 2017 budget will be sponsored with funds recovered from looters

Recovered money

On how to finance the 2017 Nigerian budget, the senior Presidential aide on prosecutions, Okoi Obono-Obla has noted that the federal government would liaise with the national assembly for permission to use part of the funds recovered from looters.

Okoi says 20 percent of the 2017 budget will be financed with recovered loots, on Tuesday in Abuja, while speaking with journalists.

On the same note, he commended the APC-led administration for ensuring the stability of the country’s policy and fighting corruption in public offices. He added that as long as the party would continue to serve the interest of Nigerians by delivering true democracy dividends, they will continue to be in power.

Meanwhile, the graft fighters have not given up in their effort to put away every form of looting in the country.
