Pandemonium As Gunmen Kidnaps Otun Ibadan’s Twin Children, Asks For N100M

Two suspected kidnappers have abducted the twin children of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Lekan Balogun at his resident in Akoko Ibadan.

The five-year-old twin, a boy and a girl were kidnapped in the late hours of Thursday.

As at the time of filing this report, details of how the incident happened are still sketchy.
However, it was gathered that the kidnappers have demanded for the sum of N100 million as ransom.

The mother of the twins is said to be in shock and is recuperating at an undisclosed hospital.

 Adekunle Ajisebutu, Public Relations Officer of the Oyo state Police Command confirmed the incident and said that the command have started investigating the matter.

“We have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers. We will rescue the children.

“We received a report that two of the traditional ruler’s children were kidnapped in Akobo. The command is doing everything to rescue the children unhurt.

“We are aware of the incident. We hope to rescue the children as soon as possible,” Police Commissioner Abiodun Odude has ordered the Anti-Kidnapping Squad to rescue the children,” He said.
