Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has taken to his Twitter account to defend unfire 18-year-old goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, following a sad incident at the European Under-21 Championship.
Fans of the Azzurri had thrown fake dollar bills at the 18-year-old, during Italy’a 2-0 win Over Denmark at the ongoing European u21 championship in Poland, after he rejected a new contract to stay at AC Milan.
This has prompted Pogba, formerly of Juventus, to come to the defense of the youngster, who kept 12 clean sheets for AC Milan in 38 Serie A games last season.
“Donnarumma soon best in the world deserves only respect for all he’s done until now ���� #forzaGigi, “ Pogba tweeted.
Since announcing he won’t be signing a new deal at Milan, Donnarumma has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Serie A champions, Juventus.
