The Ondo State Police Command has reportedly arrested One Adeyemi Alao, the suspected killer of Miss Khjadijat Oluboyo, the daughter of former Ondo State Deputy Governor Lasisi Oluboyo.
Khadijat, a 20-year-old final student of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU) and daughter of former Ondo State Deputy Governor was allegedly murdered by her supposed boyfriend.
From reports gathered, her body was found on Sunday after six days of her death in Alao’s resident in Akure with Alao nowhere to be found.
Alao who is said to be a permanent resident in Abuja also a suspected Yahoo boy reportedly visits Akure from Abuja in order to see his supposed girlfriend Khadijat, who was smaid to be fond of passing the night with him whenever he visits
There were also speculations that the suspected killer had wanted to use his victim for rituals as he had made attempt to bury the corpse in his house at Oke-Are area of Akure with an already dug grave to prove.
The police spokesman Femi Joseph (SP), said the suspect was arrested by a team of detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
He disclosed that the suspect has been cooperating with the police and giving relevant information as to the circumstances surrounding Khadijat’s death.
He also said that the police are still investigating the matter adding that the commissioner of police will address the media after the conclusion of the investigation.
