Arsenal has been scheduled to start the new Premier League season with one of its toughest matches and fixture with a tough rival in History. Unai Emery will have to prove his worth and expertise in professional football as they go against Manchester City, the English Premier League Champions.
Emery, who just succeeded Arsenal’s longest served coach, Arsene Wenger, who managed the English club for 22years, has been tasked with a heavy assignment and will be expected to make an urgent statement at the Emirates Stadium against the Defending champion, Man City, that gave them a 19-point margin in the last League.
According to the released Fixtures of the Premier League for the 2018-2019 season published on Thursday the 14th of June, 2018, Arsenal and Manchester City have been merged for the Opening weekend to kick start the Season’s tournaments.
On the released publication of the Premier League Twitter page, The rest games for the week 1 through 11th August fixtures have been scheduled as follows:
Bournemouth vs Cardiff
Fulham vs Crystal Palace
Huddersfield vs Chelsea
Liverpool vs Westham
Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspurs
Southampton vs Burnley
Watford vs Brighton
Wolves vs Everton
From the fixtures, Tottenham Hotspur on the second weekend has been scheduled to play against Fullham but the venue to be used has not been made clear yet and is still tentative as the White Hart Lane is still under renovation and the Club has been using the temporary home of Wembley stadium.
Whereas tottenham still has three away games in its first four fixtures, Manchester United is to play Leicester in their home and also play Tottenham later on in the course of the season, in its first eight games.
Manchester United first derby is to take place at Etihad Stadium on the 10th of November and the second leg return match played at Old Trafford come March 16.
