President Buhari advised Governor Obiano to continue with those accomplishments that brought him favor from the people. He further promised that the APC-led Federal Government would not stop to work in unity with the Governor for the betterment of the nation.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, incumbent Governor of Anambra state and winner of the just concluded gubernatorial election held in the state on Saturday November 18.

President Buhari also expressed gratitude towards the people of the state, including other aspirants, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies who contributed in conducting the election peacefully.

The President explained that; “The processes leading to the election and its peaceful conduct and outcome, have shown that our electoral reform is bearing positive fruits.
This is very encouraging and I am determined to give Nigeria free and fair elections, no matter which way the results swing,” he said.

On the same note, President Buhari advised the Governor to continue with those accomplishments that brought him favor from the people. He further promised that the APC-led Federal Government would not stop to work in unity with him for the betterment of the nation.

The President also encouraged INEC to improve on the area of logistics towards the upcoming general election in the country.

Recall that the Nigerian President visited Anambra state before the election, after visiting Ebonyi state where he received two titles from the South-East leaders. The visitation was aimed at creating a good relation between people of the South-East and the Federal Government. The President was given a warm-welcome to the region.
