When the rumoured story about the  Ooni of Ife parting with his wife Olori Wuraola came up on August 15th 2017, it was said to be false and an idle talk from the social media .They also said that their marriage was still blissful, but today, it has become a reality.

The Olori now former Olori has parted with her husband Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi last Wednesday 30/08/2017.

According to the report from the social media, it was sad news indeed.

This marriage is still fresh and just lasted for a year and 5 months.

This crashed marriage took place on,

March 16, 2016, in the home of the bride Ewere Street, Etete, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State,

The rites were preformed traditionally according to Benin culture Represented by the Ooni’s father Oluropo Ogun.

It was indeed a sophisticated marriage.

The monarch said then when he took Wuraola for a wife that she was the choice of the gods.

 The Ooni later responded on the matter through his aide that the now ex-wife left for good

He also said  that the he will personally speak at the right time.

The house of Oduduwa spoke;

Through Nigerian Tribune newspaper saying that they will keep calm and maintain peace until the right time.

They went further to say that;

“In this era of social media,

where people have free access to Internet, as constitutionally permitted by laws of the land, people can say anything.

‘In spite of all being said on the issue,

”decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa maintain silence, at least for now”.

”This is because marriage is strictly a private matter that should not subjected to undue public uproar.

When it is necessary for us to talk, we will surely talk on the issue.”

The entire public were not really happy about this marriage break-up,

but despite all these, the ex-queen has decided to console herself and forge ahead

She said that her topmost priority for now is to assist both women and children globally

Words from the ex-queen,She said;

“My journey continues as a Humanitarian aiding women and victims of domestic violence and abuse with the United Nations.”

She advised that any woman experiencing turbulence in her marriages should walk away

In her statement she said;

“What I can confirm is that the Ooni and I are no more”.

”I inhale love and exhale gratitude”.

”No matter how much time you’ve invested,the use of media to silence & manipulate, the circumstance, slander, embarrassment, threats and lies, get out and seek immediate help!”

She also said;

It was glaring on how she released the official statement on her Instagram page on Wednesday

That,her marriage with the Monarch is over

She said, “What I can confirm, is that the Ooni and I are no more.”

She made it clearer on Instagram by changing her name from,

Queen Wuraola Zaynab Ogunwusi (@oloriwuraolaogunwusi) to Queen Zaynab-Otiti Obanor.

”There is absolutely no truth to the media circulated lies of infidelity and infertility- on my end.

What I can confirm, is that the Ooni and I are no more”.

She continued with her statement;

The throne is sacred and the attempts to tarnish the name of a Queen,

in defence or on behalf of a silent King makes all involved look terrible.
