About 60 passengers and Officials of Aseman Airlines are suspected to have died in a plane crash that occurred in Zagros Mountains, Iran on Sunday.
According to BBC news, Helicopters that were deployed to search and confirmed where the mishap happened are stranded because of the weather conditions over there.
The source disclosed that the EP3704 Flight was travelling from Tehran to the South-Western city of Yasuj and crashed at about 22km from its destination.
Officials from the region told newsmen that the wreckage had been found. However, an aviation Spokesman said it has not been confirmed due to the ‘bad weather’.
It was also gathered that Iran had suffered frequent Aviation issues, maybe because of the aged aircraft they have.
The 25 year-old ATR 72-500 twin-engine Aircraft was carrying 60 Passengers, 2 Security Guards, 2 Flight Attendants with the Pilot.
Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had expressed His heartfelt sympathy to the relatives of the victims.
