WWE stars John Cena and Nikki Bella are professional wrestlers that have been in a sweet romantic affair that took a more serious turn last year after Cena openly proposed to her right in the ring at the WrestleMAnia 34 and she consented to marrying him. Before their bitter breakup, they were set to exchange vows by May 5th this year.
The relationship has gone sour and the duo jointly made a statement on twitter, calling off their relationship on personal grounds. This was confirmed by Nikki’s twin sister’s tweet the same day that read “After much contemplation and 6 years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple.
The reason for the breakup has not been disclosed to the public by the couple but a reliable source reported that it is was as a result of Cena’s decision to not have a child. This is open to debate, correction or complete debasement.
The insider spoke for a while, revealing the reason behind the breakup as well as Cena’s initial attitude towards getting married and having kids and how he promised to change and really changed during the course of their relationship but has destroyed everything in the worst and most devastating way.
The insider said “He talked a really good game about having changed, about having his priorities straight, about knowing what’s important, and that it was her,’ the friend said.
‘But as the day got closer, it was like he just went back to who he’s always been — which is someone who puts himself first, always.”
The source didn’t go all bad about the wrestler, she also talked about his good sides, she said:
‘He’s an incredibly dedicated, driven, ambitious guy,’ the source continued. ‘And for the longest time he said he didn’t think he had room in his life for a spouse or kids. It seems like in the end that was still the truth.
‘But in that case, he never should’ve proposed, let alone in front of millions of people. Now she’s heartbroken.’
Prior to the time, the 40-year-old favourite professional wrestler stated that he would not be re-married after his separation from his ex wife Elizabeth Huberdeau which occurred sometime in 2012 after three years of marriage.
‘This was supposed to be the happiest time of her life,’ the insider added. ‘He ruined it and blew everything up.’
Here’s what the couple tweeted on Sunday in regards to their separation “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another,’ they said. ‘We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.’
This indeed is a very difficult time for the broken lovebirds as Cena tweeted this on his page saying “Hardship, loss, and humility are extremely difficult waters to navigate, but perseverance thru them builds a strength to withstand anything life throws your way.”
