Over 700 private nurseries, primary and secondary schools has been sealed off by Osun State Internal Revenue Service (OIRS) for non-payment of registration fees and taxes.

Acting Chairman Bicci Alli, who at a news briefing in Osogbo stated that the institutions disregarded paying or renewing registration fees, also noted that the schools operated for years without licenses, and government was left with no option but to shut them.

The acting chairman added that the exercise was to recoup taxes. He urged proprietors to pay levies and taxes to support government’s effort to improve education standard while.
