The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu reiterated that the Senate must ensure the implementation and defend the country’s constitution at all time.
The Nigerian Senate has deliberated over the issues affecting health sector across the country in a plenary at around 11:19am yesterday in Abuja.
The Senate disclosed that in recent time, there has been various request from Nigerians, asking for the establishment of Federal health facilities in all the 6 Geo-political zones of the country, to provide good health care services to the citizens.
Senator representing Niger North senatorial District, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, urged the Senate to look into the matter vividly to distribute adequate health facilities to all the states.
According to him, “Our people deserve adequate health facilities provided for them.”
The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu reiterated that the Senate must ensure the implementation and defend the country’s constitution at all time, as he thanked all the Senators for their contributions over the debate.
Ekweremadu said: “It is our duty to ensure even distribution of health facilities across the Geo-political zones.”
He advised that the state Government should work on the uncompleted and abandoned health centers built in their respective states, instead of wasting money for new ones.
