Swansea have announced the arrival of Chelsea youngster, Tammy Abraham, on a season-long loan deal.
Tammy, who spent last season on loan at championship side, Bristol City, where he scored 26goals in 48 appearances for the Robins, joins Swansea despite offers from Premier League newcomers, Newcastle United.
The Swans confirmed the loan deal through their official website and social media accounts, also revealing that the young striker had signed a new five-year deal with parent club, Chelsea, today.
The 19-year-old England youth international, who has made just two appearances for Chelsea since joining the club twelve years ago, was with the England u21 team at the just concluded European championship in Poland, where he impressed for the young Lions.
Tammy, who becomes Swansea’s second signing of the summer, following the arrival of goalkeeper, Erwin Mulder, is expected to link up with his new team-mates during the club’s tour of America.
