Breaking! St Paul’s Chapel Rhodes prohibits foreign weddings

He angrily said; Shame on those two for the damage they have done. Would they have done the same in their homeland; in front of a British chapel, a Jewish temple, a Muslim mosque?

Foreigners  have been prohibited from getting married at the popular St Paul’s Chapel.This was done following a disgusting attitude of a British couple pasting and circulating  their pictures. This act as well portrays encouraging people to have sex.

This was done immediately after the couples by name; Newlyweds Carly and Matthew Lunn got married. They also have to downsize the pictures and posted it on face book.

Their friends and families see it a fun. But the religious authorities in charge of the Chapel where they wedded got to know about it and were not happy. These made the St Paul’s Bishop; Bishop Kyrillos of Rhodes come to a conclusion of making it an outlaw. They ban every foreigner not to get married at the picturesque location. Also, this made a lot of people to be in a confused sate, not knowing what to do.

The community leader Giorgos Eleftheriou also, told ”The Times” that they are Greek and cherish their traditions and the sanctity of their religious sites. He also went ahead to say that, they  cannot allow this disgusting behaviour to prevail.

He angrily said; Shame on those two for the damage they have done. Would they have done the same in their homeland; in front of a British chapel, a Jewish temple, a Muslim mosque? This was the statement from Mr Eleftheriou, who performed the couple’s ceremony.

He further to say that he has hundreds of soon-to-be brides from Britain and all over the world who is calling him today in tears because of this decision.  He said that it’s a huge damper on our society here. We are one of the most famous wedding destinations in the world and we are booked solid through to 2021.

The local Mayor of the st Paul’s Chapel has not really approved the ban. But using that location for further weddings is still not certain. Also, someone who stays in the vicinity also informed The Sun that the story was published in the Greek TV and newspaper after the story was told in the British media.

According to them, even if the act was to arouse, the priest and the mayors see it as something disgusting that has defiled the church. These have brought to a halt of subsequent wedding of which about 99% are British.

People wants is for the couple to make an open apology to the church and Rhodes.
