The Greatest Royal Rumble Event that took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday night was truly intriguing and took a different turn from the expected as it featured a controversial fight between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, with the latter winning the match after being speared down in the cage by Reigns.
Sky sports – Roman Reigns could be given the chance to address his controversial loss to Brock Lesnar live on Raw at 1am on Sky Sports Arena on Monday.
Lesnar retained the Universal title in a cage match between the two at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday night.
The match finished in strange circumstances, with Reigns spearing Lesnar through the cage and to the floor outside. Technically, the champion left the cage first but despite Reigns’ feet touching the ground before Lesnar’s – which had been stated as a condition for victory – the referee awarded the match to The Beast.
Reigns, therefore, has a solid case for a rematch, and could be given a platform to address those concerns on tonight’s show where, it should be noted, Lesnar is not scheduled to appear.
Still on the Monday night show, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt cemented their recent – and bizarre – union tag team titles.
The pair have a long list of potential challengers, with new arrivals Breezango and Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre likely to fancy their chances of a crack at the belts, alongside more established Raw teams such as The Revival and Titus Worldwide.
But with Monday’s show taking place in Quebec, will the hometown pair of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn look to position themselves in that title race, or maybe another one?
