Alleged Kidnapping: Garba Durbunde, Fed. House of Rep. member missing


The Federal House of Representative members have been in great trauma since the alleged kidnaped of Garba Durdunde, lawmaker representing Takai/Sumaila federal constituency of Kano state on Tuesday, May 30.


He was said to have traveled alone in his car and is suspected to have been kidnapped between Abuja and Jere on the Abuja-Kano Expressway. According to the source

“I can confirm to you that Honourable Durbunde is nowhere to be found at the moment, We are yet to establish his whereabouts or get a clue from his abductors but we have informed all the relevant security agencies about the incident,” Stated by one of Garba’s aides.

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje said the incident is an ‘act of wickedness perpetrated by evil and cold-hearted elements’ as he shows sympathy to the contingency.

Ganduje appealed to security agencies to secure the release of the victim, advising people to be vigilant and security aware.
