Lyon have been informed by Premier League side, Arsenal that they are willing to pay a club record fee of £45m plus add-ons for forward, Alexandre Lacazette, according to a report by Skysports.

According to the report, an agreement for the France international can be reached between both clubs, despite president Jean-Michel Aulas of Lyon saying earlier in the week he expected Lacazette, who he values at 50m, to remain at the club.

Lacazette, who scored over 30 goals for Lyon last season, is seen as one of Arsene Wenger’s top targets this summer, in what could be a decisive season for the club, following last season’s disappointing fifth place finish in the league, the first time the FA cup kings failed to qualify for the Champions League since Wenger became manager.
