A Facebook user identified as Moses Ochonu took to the social media platform to share a picture of one of the ways Governor Ortom is empowering youths in the state.
Ochonu, who shared a photo of wheelbarrows with the governor’s name printed on them said, “Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has forced me out of my self-imposed Facebook hiatus. Don’t laugh; this is youth empowerment and job creation, Ortom style. Who dey do us dis thing? Who did we offend?”
“Quick question for Governor Ortom and his people, will the wheelbarrow empowerment reach Benue youths in the diaspora? Asking for a friend.
UPDATE: unconfirmed news reaching me says the governor has ordered that his name be removed from the wheelbarrows. My question is, if this order is carried out how will we know that the empowerment is from him and thank him for the kind, revolutionary job creation gesture?” he also added.
Meanwhile, here are some of the reactions and comments from Nigerians, condemning the governor.
