Not minding the ongoing curfew in Plateau State, the Police Command on Saturday confirmed the killing of one person by Fulani herdsmen in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The state police, through its Spokesman, DSP Mathias Terna Tyopev, said;
“Today being 30-06-2018 at about 07:00 hours the Plateau State Police Command, Jos received an information that nine cattle belonging to the Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jos, Bishop Benjamin Kwashe were rustled by men suspected to be herdsmen.
“In the process, one Adamu Dung, a 46yrs old Vigilante man at Kangang Area of Jos was shot and killed by the rustlers.
“His corpse has been deposited at the Bingham University Hospital, Jos”.
The police through it’s spokesman assured the general public that the police will investigate and make sure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
Remember that the killing of more than 200 persons in the state necessitated curfew since last Sunday.
