Angry Calabar Youths Criticized Lawmaker’s Fifth Term Bid

Angry Youths have carried out a peaceful protest over the re-election bid of Mr. Essien Ayi, Lawmaker representing Calabar-South/Bakassi/Akpabuyo federal constituency in the National Assembly.

Youths from the mentioned Local Government Area of Cross River State, took a walk to the state House of Assembly, insisting that Mr Ayi who has been in office for four tenures since 2003, should not run for the fifth term in the upcoming 2019 general election.

From report, one of the protesters Mr. Solomon Archibong said Ayi was the Mugabe they have in Calabar, insisting that they need another person to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

However, a source disclosed that the Lawmaker will be re-elected, come next election.

The Mugabe of Calabar South must go!

 ‘Bakassi say no to fifth term lawmaker!

‘Capital NO to fifth term!’ and more.
