Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Acting President has signed three executive orders to enable good business environment for Nigerians yesterday, Thursday, May 18.
Following the promises made by the All Progressives Congress ( APC)-led federal government to patronise more of the country’s local content to improve private and government’s businesses operations in the country; the Acting President signed the bill forwarded by the Senate to help local producers, since Nigeria has the basic resources to grow her economy and create employment opportunities for the Youth if local producers and local products are encouraged.
The executive orders signed by Professor Osinbajo are:
1.Ease of Doing Business ( part of Senate Plan)
2. Support for ‘Made in Nigeria’ (an idea by the Senate President)
3. Timely submission of MDAs budgets (issue raised by the Senate)
Also, the source noted that earlier before the Acting President signed the executive orders. He chaired an interactive session on “Ease of Doing Business” with Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Federal Agencies. Including ministers and heads of department at the old Banquet Hall of Presidential Villa.
