Nigerian Singer Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike popularly known as Phyno has got a real accolade. Phyno status has been erected at Eleme junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Following this awesome recognition of value made to Phyno on the input he has made in the promotion of his mother’s tongue through music, the singer shouted out joyfully as he spotted this and quickly took to Instagram to share the photo and said ”Akpuola d boy Na Eleme junction PH”

That’s an Igbo language in Nigeria that means ‘the boy’s status has been erected at Eleme junction in Port Harcourt.’

Fans reaction to this on social media shows how much Phyno is widely loved and that government and appropriate authorities should give attention to recognizing actors and musicians who are making Nigerians proud through art and their God giving talents.

While commenting on the post on social media, most comments quickly referred to governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State as someone who’s making misplacement of priority in the areas of recognition of hard-work following the status of African leaders that he has erected in Imo State, mostly when those leaders have contributed little or nothing to the development of the state.

For Phyno, he has made every Igbo speaking Nigerian proud as he doesn’t do even a single song without using the Igbo language. No wonder his closest associate in the music industry is Olamide of YBNL record label who’s also a promoter of the Yoruba language through music.

Congratulations to Phyno on his achievement and recognition as a major contributor and achiever in the Nigerian music industry. We hope you bag home more accolades and keep up the good work both locally and internationally. We love you, Nigerians love you, but Igbos loves you more.
